“We need not walk alone.” – The Compassionate Friends Credo
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
The Jackson Mississippi Chapter of The Compassionate Friends meets at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of every month at Fondren Presbyterian Church (in the fellowship hall), 3220 Old Canton Road Jackson, Mississippi.
Our monthly meetings offer a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings to meet and talk freely about your child and your grief issues. We are available to any family member who has had a child die from any cause, at any age. No one is required to speak, but non-judgmental listening is expected. The Compassionate Friends charge no dues or fees of any kind, nor do we have any religious affiliation. Persons of all faiths (or no faith), creeds, and races are welcome. The Jackson Chapter produces a free, online monthly newsletter and maintains a lending library of grief related books and materials available to all members to share. You can also find us on Facebook.
